Motherhood doesn’t make you lose yourself—it makes you more of who you were meant to be. Did you know pink flamingos turn white when they become moms? They pour so much of their nutrients into their babies that they literally lose their color. But once their little ones are strong, their vibrant pink returns. Sound familiar? Motherhood stretches us, challenges us, and often feels like it’s taking pieces of us. But we’re not losing ourselves—we’re pouring into our children, giving them strength. And just like the flamingo, we get our color back. Maybe even brighter than before. So if you’re in the season of giving all you have, know this: You are still you. And one day, you’ll look back and see that you didn’t fade—you flourished. “I’m sorry” holds more power than you think. Ever lost your patience and snapped at your child? Maybe you rushed them when they just needed a moment, or you dismissed their feelings because you were overwhelmed yourself. We’ve all been there. But here’s the thing—our kids are learning how to navigate relationships by watching us. When we humble ourselves and say, “I’m sorry for yelling. That wasn’t okay,” we’re teaching them that mistakes don’t define us—what we do afterward does. Apologizing doesn’t make you weak; it models strength, responsibility, and grace. And when they see that? They’ll learn to do the same. Have you ever had a powerful moment with your child after apologizing? When your kid says “NO!”—try this instead! Kids love saying no. It’s a way for them to test boundaries and assert independence. But when you need them to make a decision, try the Parroting Method: 1️⃣ Give them two choices: “Do you want to put on your shoes by yourself or do you want me to help?” 2️⃣ If they say no, calmly repeat the choices. 3️⃣ If they say no again, let them know: “That’s okay! If you don’t choose, I’ll choose for you.” 4️⃣ Ask one last time, and if they still don’t choose—follow through and decide for them. This method keeps you in charge while giving them a sense of control. No battles, no endless negotiations—just calm, confident parenting! Have you tried this before? Let me know how it works for you! ⬇️ #PositiveParenting #ToddlerTips #GentleDiscipline #ParentingHacks #RaisingKidsRight
