Who Should Use
- If you have oily skin and are struggling with breakouts and uneven skin tone and want to improve your overall complexion, this cleansing bar was made just for you! If you have normal skin, we recommend the Even Tone Cleansing Bar and for combination skin, try the Combination Skin Cleansing Bar.
How It Looks/Smells/Feels
- This transparent yellow-colored cleansing bar lathers beautifully on the skin, and has the relaxing smell of eucalyptus.
*Please note that any color changes in the bottom of the cleansing bar that may appear are normal due to exposure to light, water and air.
If I have dark marks and acne, do I use the Clear Skin Cleansing Bar or the Even Tone Cleansing Bar? - If you have dark marks, suffer from acne and have oily skin, use the Clear Skin Cleansing Bar to reduce the visibility of these blemishes. If you don’t suffer from oily skin or aren't trying to help reduce the appearance of acne but have discolorations or want a brighter, more even-toned complexion, use the Even Tone Cleansing Bar. It is important to remember that all three of our cleansing bars help with the look of acne and discoloration, so the bar should be chosen based on skin type. For example, someone with dry skin/aging concerns and acne/discoloration would pick the Combination Skin Cleansing Bar.
Can this be used on the body?
- We recommend using the Clear and Even Tone Body Cleansing Bar for a full-body treatment.
Can I use this bar with another cleanser?
- Yes. This bar can be used along with our other cleansers.
Is it normal for my skin to feel irritated, red or peel after using this product?
- No. If you are experiencing irritation, redness or peeling, it could be caused by a few other things: you may be scrubbing too hard with the sponge, your skin is too sensitive for this cleanser, you are using this product with too many exfoliating products and/or not giving your skin enough hydration. We recommend that you try our gentler cleansing options, Even Tone Gentle Gel Cleanser or LacticGlow Micropolish Resurface & Brighten Cleanser.
Is there Sodium Hydroxide in your cleanser bars?
- Sodium Hydroxide is commonly used in the soap making process to turn fats and oils into soap - a process called saponification. However, the amount of Sodium Hydroxide used in the soap manufacturing process is not the amount you end up with in the finished product. By the end of the soap making process, most of the sodium hydroxide has dissociated (broken up) and is no longer present in the final product. As a result, while we use Sodium Hydroxide as a raw ingredient in our manufacturing process, there is only a residual amount of Sodium Hydroxide present in our finished cleansing bars.
