What it is?
Luna moth eggs are laid on tree leaves, including the sweetgum, where the caterpillars will have plenty to eat and little competition. After molting several times, the caterpillar creates a cocoon, from which the adult Luna moth emerges, ready to dry its wings and flutter into the night. Scientific Name: Actias luna
