What it is?
Dolphins live worldwide in tropical and temperate seas. There are actually two types within the species, one that prefers shallow coastal waters and one adapted to deeper, cooler water. Because of their slightly upturned jaws, they appear to be constantly smiling.
Key Benefits
- History: The abilities of Bottlenose Dolphins defy expectations and amaze those who study these delightful creatures. Their acrobatic abilities are notable - Aided by smooth bodies and an ideal shape, they zip through the water at nearly 20 miles an hour, and they can leap 16 feet into the air. They also use echolocation, which is like a sixth sense for Dolphins, allowing them to sense both prey and predators by projecting sound waves, which travel almost five times faster in water than they do in air. The returning waves help them sense the size and location of creatures large and small up to several hundred feet away.
