Homemade bone broth or chicken stock is nutritious and can be as easy as loading the crock pot or slow cooker with vegetable scraps (onion, celery, carrots, parsley), water, chicken bones (preferably from a whole chicken), and seasonings (I like a little rosemary and thyme). Cover with water and set on low overnight or while you are at work. When you wake up, strain, pour stock into jars to can or add to freezer safe containers.
