The mountainous Laurel Highlands region of southwestern Pennsylvania covers 3,000 square miles and includes 3 counties: Fayette, Westmoreland, and Somerset. This small section in Somerset County is my absolute favorite to explore. It is so quiet and peaceful. All 4 of these spots are fairly close in proximity so you can see them all in one day. My itinerary: 1. Scenic Tower at Laurel Hill State Park. 2. Barronvale Covered Bridge 3. Cole Run Falls 4. Blue Hole Creek
