Chapie was created by former SpaceX and NASA Aerospace Engineer, Jacob Kirstein. Jacob had been developing products since 2014 without much success. In January of 2021, Jacob's old roommate suggested a new invention idea over the phone: a vacuum-insulated flask for lip balm.
