Must do this before diving into making a batch of sourdough bread: Make sure your starter is strong enough. After waking up my starter from being in the fridge (fed it flour and water) then I let it sit in a warm spot on counter. Rule of thumb: if it doubles in volume within 3 to 4 hours (while in warm spot) then it’s strong enough to use in a bread recipe. Next I will post a sourdough schedule that I use so you will know what the time commitment is for homemade sourdough bread…at least for the recipe I use. There are lots of different recipes with different time requirements. This recipe makes by far the softest, delicious sandwich sourdough bread the my whole family is obsessed with. I even get asked to bring loaves to family events and friends gatherings. #sourdough #sourdoughbread #sourdoughstarter
