Rethinking the Flawed Peer Evaluation System for Nurses I discuss the issues with the current system of peer evaluations for nurses, where managers are expected to evaluate hundreds of employees based on limited interactions and biased peer feedback. I argue that this is a waste of time and does not provide a true evaluation of performance. Instead, I suggest that managers need to spend more time truly understanding their employees in order to provide meaningful performance reviews. I also criticize the use of peer evaluations as the basis for merit-based pay increases, and call for a better system that pays nurses what they are worth without forcing them to jump through unnecessary hoops.
