At 62 years old most people would expect me to slow down settle into a routine of easy chairs and television reruns But that s never been my style While others complain about aching joints and acting their age I m out at the skate park carving up pavement and dropping into bowls like I ve got something to prove not to anyone else but to myself I refuse to buy into the idea that getting older means giving up on fun I see too many people wasting their later years sitting on the couch watching life pass them by Not me I slip on my checkerboard Vans grab my board and hit it.
