Mental health matters-don’t let ANYONE else take that from you-even blood or “friendships” that have lasted decades. You owe it to yourself to be the person who should’ve protected you when you were younger-especially if you have deeply wounded inner child. I’m actually no contact with my entire family because of their refusal to go to therapy and see perspectives outside of their own, which is unfortunately very common in narcissistic dynamics. They often paint the truth teller as the “crazy one”. I grew up very much the “black sheep” of my family unit because I refused to adhere to their set value system and preferred to walk to the beat of my own drum.
