My art is inspired by a technique of using dots to create abstract art that I create on leather, skin and vinyl that I have entitled, Elythia. I have been using this technique for more that 25 years. The name is derived from a variety of sources. It is a combination of Eileithyia, pre-Hellenic goddess of childbirth. I am a birth Doula and an end of life Doula. Byblia ilithyia, the spotted joker or joker, is a species of nymphalid butterfly found in parts of Africa and Asia.
