Whether they’re open to remarriage or not, it is not helpful to say something like this to someone who is widowed—particularly early on. And if they’ve started to date someone new, it doesn’t mean they have “moved on”… and if they aren’t involved with someone new, it doesn’t mean they’re stuck in their grief. And it’s entirely possible that if someone new is in the picture, they don’t disclose that on social media 😉 Simply put: it is unhelpful to suggest things about their relationship status. If anything, validate their loss. And if appropriate, just ask them if they think they’d be open to love after loss.
